Every post starts where you stand. Echo is a social network built the opposite direction from the rest. Nothing here is pushed at you. Everything on your field traveled to get there, carried block by block by people who thought it was worth passing on. Social media went global first and drowned us all in noise. We're going the other way. HOW IT WORKS Drop an echo. A video, a photo, a sound, a thought, pinned to the exact spot it happened. The people closest to you see it first. From there it travels on its own, one area at a time, for as long as it's alive. Indifference doesn't slow it down; an echo nobody has judged yet keeps looking for somewhere that cares. Approval carries it further than it could have gone alone. And a place that decisively turns on it closes the door in that direction, but only the people rooted there can do that. Not a mob passing through. You cannot buy any of it. There is nothing to promote and no reach for sale. Everything that reaches you got here the same way. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Drop photos, videos, voice, and notes tied to a real place • Watch your echoes spread across a live 3D globe. See which places welcomed them and which pushed back • Discover what's moving through your neighborhood right now • Leave footprints to keep a private map of where you've been • Attach sounds and places to anything you drop • Message people directly, follow the voices you like, filter by hashtag WHAT'S DIFFERENT Fame doesn't transfer here. Followers, badges, an audience you built on another app: none of it moves an echo a single street further. Anyone drops an echo and it starts where they're standing, then travels only as far as real people carry it. Nothing here arrives everywhere at once. Nothing here is permanent. Every echo has a half-life, and that is what finally stops it, not popularity. When the time runs out the echo becomes a Wisp: private, yours, a record of something that was alive for a while. And because you post from where you actually stand, as part of an actual community, hate loses its hiding place before it leaves the block. Echo is for ages 16 and over. Yes, Echo needs your location. So does every other app on your phone; they just already have it, quietly, from your IP and your camera roll, whether you ever said yes or not. At least we have the decency to need it out loud. Here's the whole use: it places your echoes, it earns you standing in the places you actually spend time, and it draws a footprint map only you can see.
