Ferry is an RSS reader that ranks stories by how widely they are being covered, rather than only by time.
No account is required: choose "Read on this device" at setup and the app works entirely offline-first with feeds you add yourself. You can also sign in to FreshRSS or Inoreader if you already use one.
Worth testing:
- Home: your folders, and Today / All / Later.
- Feed: the article list, swipe to mark read or save to Later, and search.
- Discover: trending stories clustered across sources, and following a new source from there.
- The reader itself, including text size and saving for later.
- On iPad and Mac the same app runs as a multi-column layout.
If you sign into iCloud, subscriptions and read state sync between your own devices.
